AN INNKEEPER’S NOTEBOOK
About This Independent Desk
This website is a small, quiet counter in a noisy corridor. It is written by a real innkeeper who has spent years welcoming travellers, smoothing out bedspreads, and watching how large commercial properties treat their guests.

Front page · About
Not Caesars, Not OLG
To be entirely clear: this site is not owned, operated, or controlled by Caesars Entertainment Windsor Limited or the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG). OLG owns the real estate at 377 Riverside Drive East, and Caesars operates the resort. We are an independent review and reference site written from an innkeeper’s perspective.
When you read our pages—whether we are discussing Forum vs Augustus towers, examining rooms and suites, or considering breakfast and room service options—you are getting an honest assessment. We hold no corporate brief for the resort, and we have no interest in inflating expectations. Our goal is simply to help you decide whether a stay fits your travel plans, particularly if you are attending a show at The Colosseum or crossing the Detroit River.
How Facts Are Checked and Dated
Running a small inn teaches you that missing details cause guest friction. On this site, we verify every detail against official documents, regulatory filings from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), or public records.
When primary figures are missing or disputed, we say so directly. For instance, because third-party sources conflict on the precise count of slot machines and table games on the 100,000-square-foot gaming floor, we refuse to print a made-up estimate. When changes happen—such as the Ariius nightclub leaving the property in January 2026—we update our notes promptly so you are never relying on outdated directory listings.
We also keep plain rules regarding entry: Ontario law strictly limits gaming floor access to adults aged 19 and older with valid photo identification. Minors are not permitted on the casino floor under any circumstances. You can read more on our responsible gaming page.

How We Handle Inquiries and Commissions
We offer a simple inquiry service for readers who want help planning a stay. When you ask our desk for assistance, we review your requested dates, bed preferences, and tower choices before sending your details to verified booking channels.
If your booking goes through, this site may earn a small referral commission paid by the hotel or partner network. It costs you nothing extra. We explain this process openly on our page about how this site earns. If you prefer to deal directly with the property, we always encourage linking to the resort’s official page at caesars.com/caesars-windsor.
