Arriving at Caesars Windsor: every road in, and where to leave the car

A guest's first ten minutes decide a good deal of the stay, and most of them are spent finding the door. This is how I would brief a friend coming to Caesars Windsor from Michigan, from Toronto or off a plane, with a Google Maps route for each and the parking details that matter when you pull up.

The address, and the pin I trust

Caesars Windsor is at 377 Riverside Drive East, on the riverfront in downtown Windsor, facing the Detroit skyline. The links below use Google's own card for the resort, the same pin for a sat-nav, a phone or a cab driver.

From Detroit: the tunnel or a bridge

The Detroit-Windsor Tunnel is the shortest way from downtown Detroit and comes up in downtown Windsor, a short walk or drive from the hotel. The Ambassador Bridge and, since 27 July 2026, the Gordie Howe International Bridge are the alternatives; which is quicker on the day depends on the border queues as much as the distance, so I let the live route decide.

Ask the desk

A room for your dates

Tell the desk whether you are coming over the bridge, through the tunnel or from the airport, and whether you will want valet; the reply takes it into account.

No card details here; the booking itself is completed with the resort or the booking partner. How this site earns.

The house earns its keep from confirmed stays: when an enquiry made here is booked, the resort or the booking partner pays a commission. Guests are never charged by this site.

Thank you, the desk has your dates. You will get an email with the room and the current rate, usually within one working day.

Without a car from Detroit

Transit Windsor's long-running Tunnel Bus between the two downtowns stopped in 2025. A private service, The Linq, now runs a tunnel bus with its Windsor pick-up and drop-off on Bruce Avenue at Riverside Drive; check its own timetable and fares before you rely on it. From that stop the hotel is about a kilometre east along Riverside Drive, some fourteen minutes on foot on Google's walking route, checked on 29 October 2026.

Flying into Windsor (YQG)

Windsor International Airport, at 3200 Cabana Road East, is on the Canadian side, so there is no border to cross. Taxis wait at the terminal curb outside domestic baggage claim, the rental desks are across from it, and the airport lists two local cab companies, Veterans Cab (519-256-2621) and Windsor Airport Metro Cars (519-250-4735). Transit Windsor's Walkerville 8 serves the airport on weekdays.

From Toronto, and by VIA Rail

Highway 401 runs the whole way from Toronto to Windsor; the route below picks the city streets into the downtown core for the hour you arrive. On a show night at The Colosseum, a 5,000-seat hall, leave a margin for the crowd heading the same way.

Toronto (Union Station) to Caesars Windsor by car

VIA Rail's Windsor station, at 298 Walker Road in Walkerville, is the western end of the Québec City–Windsor corridor. From there it is a cab ride, not a walk with luggage, to Riverside Drive East.

Where the car goes

Self-parking is free and open 24 hours in the six-floor garage attached to the casino; the entrance is at 257 Glengarry Avenue. Valet runs around the clock from 136 McDougall Street, reached from Riverside Drive East or Pitt Street East. For registered hotel guests the published valet rate is $15 a day Sunday to Thursday and $25 on Friday, Saturday and show days; Seven Stars and Diamond members are parked free. Oversized vehicles and RVs are arranged through the Concierge Desk, so call before you arrive in anything tall.

Rates change, and I have not seen the current card myself. The concierge page has the rest of the desk services.

The tunnel exit on foot

If you come through the tunnel by bus or in a cab that drops you at the Windsor end, the hotel is close: Google's walking route from the tunnel puts it at about 400 metres and six minutes along Riverside Drive East, mostly flat (checked 29 October 2026). Older third-party guides say eleven minutes; it depends on where you start.
