Transparency & Editorial Standards
How This Site Earns
When you run an independent guesthouse, clarity about money is second nature. You want guests to know what they pay for, who receives the payment, and how decisions are made. Here is a plain explanation of how I fund my research, editorial reviews, and reservation desk.

Front page · How this site earns
Commission and Editorial Independence
When you submit an enquiry through our ask the desk for a room form, I process your dates and preferences and coordinate with our booking partner or directly with the resort. If your enquiry turns into a confirmed reservation at Caesars Windsor, we may receive a referral commission paid by the hotel or our commercial partner.
Crucially, this commission comes out of the resort's standard marketing allocation. You pay the exact same price as you would booking directly through the hotel’s standard channels. We never add markups, desk fees, or hidden charges to your total.
This commercial arrangement does not influence how I evaluate the property. Whether I am examining housekeeping standards, comparing the Forum Tower to the Augustus Tower, or reviewing the dining options, my notes remain impartial. If a room category lacks published dimensions, I state so plainly. My work relies on giving practical advice to readers from Ontario and Michigan planning one to three nights on the Windsor riverfront.
How the Enquiry Process Works
Because I operate an enquiry desk rather than an automated booking engine, the reservation sequence is deliberate and transparent:
- Submit an enquiry: You fill out the form on our ask the desk for a room page, specifying your dates, guest count, bed preferences, and whether you are attending a show at The Colosseum.
- Review and match: I review your request against current property details and check room availability with our booking partner.
- Receive your quote: You receive an email detailing confirmed rates, tower options, and resort policies.
- Confirm your stay: If you accept the quote, your reservation is completed with the property, and you pay upon check-in or according to the resort's official deposit schedule.
We do not collect or store credit card details on this website. Financial transactions take place entirely within the secure payment system of the hotel or its primary booking partner.

If you have questions about how we process reservation requests for your upcoming stay, send a note to the desk.
No card details here; the booking itself is completed with the resort or the booking partner. How this site earns.
Operational Principles and Standards
As an independent host writing about a 758-room resort, I maintain strict boundary rules across this website:
- No gambling promotion: The 100,000-square-foot gaming floor, the 14-table poker room, and the sportsbook are described strictly as property amenities. I do not offer gaming tips, play incentives, or referral links for betting.
- Age rules: Entry to the casino floor requires guests to be 19 years of age or older with valid government-issued photo ID, governed by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. Minors cannot enter the gaming floor.
- Factual accuracy: Rates, valet charges, and venue schedules are subject to change by management. Where a detail is missing from official publications, I point it out rather than make assumptions.
