An Innkeeper's Room-by-Room Guide
Inside the Guest Rooms at Caesars Windsor
Caesars Windsor holds 758 guest rooms spread across two distinct towers on the Detroit River. Understanding how those towers differ in layout, age, and view is the best way to choose where you will sleep.

Two Towers with Different Personalities
When you book a stay at 377 Riverside Drive East, you are choosing between two distinct eras of construction. The original building on the site is the Forum Tower, opened in 1998 with 389 rooms. Ten years later, in 2008, the property added the 369-room Augustus Tower. Together, these wings give the resort its 758-room capacity under the ownership of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) and management by Caesars Entertainment Windsor Limited.
As an innkeeper, I always look at corridor noise and building mechanics. The Augustus Tower is described in the fact sheet as family-friendly, offering direct indoor links to the main lobby and meeting spaces. For a detailed breakdown of how the two towers compare in structure and convenience, read my guide to Forum vs Augustus tower selection.
A critical rule for anyone traveling with family or younger guests: Ontario requires casino guests to be 19 or older. If your room requires walking across the gaming floor to reach an exit or restaurant, plan your routes accordingly when traveling with under-19 family members.
Published Room Categories and Dimensions
Large casino hotels often obscure precise room measurements, but the resort publishes clear square footage numbers for its four core room categories. Knowing these dimensions helps you decide whether a standard layout offers enough space or if you ought to look into suites for longer stays.
Resort Room / Luxury Room: Sitting in the Augustus Tower, this standard configuration offers 402 square feet of floor space built around a single King bed. Fact sheet specifications highlight a separate bathtub and shower in the bathroom, a 42-inch television, an in-room safe, and complimentary access to the indoor pool, whirlpool, fitness area, and sauna located over in the Forum Tower.
Junior Suite: Measuring 615 square feet, the Junior Suite is arranged with either one King bed or two Double beds. It features a pull-out couch in a separate living space with a 32-inch television, marble flooring, and sweeping views of the Detroit skyline. Official resort floor plans note that Junior Suites in the Forum Tower include a separate whirlpool jetted tub.
Resort Deluxe Suite: The Augustus Tower houses these 855-square-foot suites, available with one King bed or two Queen beds. The layout includes a pillow-top King mattress, a distinct sleeping area separate from the lounge, 32-inch televisions in both the bedroom and living space, a wet bar, plush bathrobes, and a bathroom equipped with both a shower and a whirlpool jetted tub.
Executive Suite: Positioned as the largest standard layout, the Executive Suite features a grand entry hall with its own powder room, a separate butler entrance, a microwave, and in select suites, a gas fireplace. The main five-piece marble ensuite bathroom holds a hydrotherapy tub, a walk-in shower, a mirror-embedded television, and towel warmers. Every room within an Executive Suite faces north toward the Detroit River and skyline.

River Views Versus City Views
The choice of view is one of the most important decisions when selecting a room at Caesars Windsor. The hotel sits right on the southern bank of the Detroit River, meaning rooms facing north look directly across the water at downtown Detroit, Michigan.
When you talk to the front desk or complete a reservation enquiry, always state explicitly if a river view is a requirement for your stay. You can read more about communicating specific room preferences in my notes on housekeeping and the front desk.
